Pueraria Mirifica Root Study

The enlarged underground tuber accumulates “phytoestrogens” (estrogen-like hormones derived from plant sources) comprised of isoflavones (daidzin, daidzein, genistin, genistein and puerarin) and others such as miroestrol and its derivatives, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol, coumestrol, puerarin, mirificoumestan, kwakhurin and mirificin.

The scope of our study is the biotechnology of the White, Red, and Black Kwao Krua. Our study has be done by traveling to many forests in many parts of Thailand to search for and select the right and the best cultivar of these herbs by relying on botanical characteristic, chemical analysis, consumption history, toxicology tests as well as laboratory tests and clinical trials.

The result of study under controlled by researcher

Our research has revealed that Pueraria mirifica and Butea superba can be safely used by humans in certain dosages and consumption periods.

More than 20 kinds of chemical substances were analyzed from Pueraria and they were divided in to 3 groups: 1. Mild action substances in the group of Sterol. 2. The substances in of the group Isoflavanoid, which is also found in soybeans, a commonly used health nourishment in Japanese food, and is proven to be help prevent Breast Cancer. 3. Acute substances of the Coumestan group

Our researcher has been conducting a series of researches covering the chemical analysis, tissue culture, mass propagation, cultivar improvement, production, product development and testing and so on for 9 years. Because this finding showed a great impact to the herbal food, cosmetic, drug and beverage industries, he has submitted patents concerning these findings and application in both Thailand and abroad.

The results shows that our selected Pueraria mirifica cultivar contains very high isoflavone content and shows high antimutagenic effects as well as high killing effects to human mammary cancer cell line.

Nowadays nutritionists recommend the consumer to consume isoflavone regularly for the purpose of cancer protection normally found on post-menopausal women and people who are hormonaly imbalanced.

What is the benefit of Miroestrol and its derivatives?

Miroestrol and its derivatives are also precious chemicals in the White Kwao Krua which promote estrogenic and mammogenic effects to various tissues such as Breast Enlargement or Breast Tissue Reformation.

What is different between Soya and Pueraria Mirifica?

Soya and Alfalfa contain a lower amount of phytoestrogens as well as a complete lack of miroestrol and its derivatives. Their benefit to the body is far less than that of Pueraria Mirifica. The researchers have confirmed that thesechemicals are potent preventers of breast cancer, prostate hyperplasia, colon cancer, osteoporosis, menopausal syndrome, and cardiovascular disease via the potent reduction of blood cholesterol.
